Purchasing from us
When you purchase a service from us, we collect payment information (processed securely by Stripe), your email address, and billing details. We use this to fulfil your purchase and create your account on our portal. The lawful basis for processing your purchase data is contractual necessity and we need it to fulfil your order. We retain financial records for six years on the basis of legal obligation under HMRC requirements. We have a Data Processing Agreement in place with Stripe covering how they handle your data on our behalf. When you make a purchase, your data may be processed outside the UK by Stripe; this is safeguarded by Stripe’s certification under the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. All pages on this site use HTTPS/TLS encryption. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and is never transmitted through our servers.
Who we share your data with
When you make a payment through our website, your payment and personal data (including name, email address, and billing information) is processed by Stripe, Inc., who act as our data processor. Stripe is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For more information, see Stripe’s Privacy Policy. We do not store your full credit card details on our servers; these are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment or send an enquiry, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
For users that make a payment through our website, your payment and personal data (including name, email address, and billing information) is processed securely by Stripe; they handle your full card details, while we only see and retain your billing address, email, and a record of the transaction (such as the last four digits of your card) to manage your account portal. As a UK Limited Company, we are legally required by HMRC to retain these financial records for at least six years following the end of the relevant tax year. This ensures we remain compliant with national tax and accounting regulations while providing you with ongoing access to your purchase history.
