Centralised project storage and separate backup system, with 15TB + of reliable fast media storage for After Effects and Maya projects.
This job was slightly unusual in that the client had already purchased the storage array via the Apple Store and need it configured and a backup system implemented.
Connecting to the storage is a mixture of high end iMacs and Mac Pros
We provided the setup and created a separate secured network (currently based in Spike Island) for the team.
Other services provided included G-Suite email to provide synced email and calendars for team scheduling and various ongoing project work to facilitate touring and onsite studio work for the team
We provided a fast and reliable setup and continue to work closely with the team to ensure they have fully functioning systems.
As time has gone on and their storage requirements have grown we’ve expanded and streamlined the system they now have well over a 100TB of fast managed network storage, including a flight cased, rack mounted touring system for the Robbie Williams Tour.
“Dial a Geek have always been fantastic to work with. They are personable, prompt and have never confused us with tech-bull****. They also understand how things need to happen quickly and with the minimum of fuss in a busy, professional environment. We’d highly recommend them!”
Neil Harris – Creative Director – SHOP
